The frequency of service of American Airlines direct flights to Delhi has been increased. The announcement of expansion of American Airlines non-stop flights to Delhi has come before its launch. Service to this route, New York to Delhi is supposed to start from October 31. The carrier had already announced in April this year to start direct flight service between JFK and DEL from October 31 but with different schedules. When the route was first announced in April this year, it was supposed to operate on a daily basis between November 17 and January 1 only. In the rest period of calendar time, American Airlines was supposed to provide services thrice a week. But now American Airlines announced this route as a year-round route. This will be the first time when American Airlines will provide direct flight service from New York to Delhi. Earlier the American Airlines had flown with direct flight service from Chicago to Delhi. Flight from New York: for the latest ultra-long-haul route, a plane will depart at 20:10 from New York and will arrive in Delhi the next day at 19:30, local time. The flight AA292 will take 13 hours 50 minutes to complete the journey from JFK to DEL.

Flight from Delhi: The return leg AA293 will depart from Delhi at 23:55 and will land at JFK at 6:30, local time. The journey time from Delhi to JFK will be for 16 hours in total. The arrival time at JFK is suitable for business travelers as they will have ample time to prepare for business activities from the same day.

American Airlines is supposed to deploy Boeing 777-200 ERs for JFK-DEL route. The Boeing has a capacity of 273 seats including 37 business class seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 212 seats are in economy class. Sales of tickets for the route JFK-DEL have already started.

Such things rarely happen when an airline expands services prior to its launch. American Airlines is pretty much sure about the profitability of business on this route.
