How Do I Get A Free Flight On Spirit Airlines?

Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low-cost carrier in the United States. It serves about 70 destinations in the U.S.A., Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

‘Free Spirit’ is a loyalty program of Spirit Airlines. Like other airlines, Spirit Airlines has its own frequent flyer program called “Free Spirit”. When you accumulate a certain number of miles or points, you will be eligible to earn a Spirit Airlines free flight. Spirit Airlines has recently updated terms and conditions of its loyalty program. The updated loyalty program of Spirit Airlines is brought with legitimate elite status levels, valuable perks and gentler mileage expiration policy.

How Can I Join The Free Spirit Program?

Every traveler can join ‘Free Spirit program’. Joining the loyalty program of Spirit is free of cost. Sign up to the Free Spirit program on the official website of Spirit Airlines and start earning points on all your flights and on selective product purchase. You can also speak to a live person at Spirit Airlines to know more about the joining of the loyalty program.

What Are Free Spirit Elite Status Levels?

There are three types of status levels in the Free Spirit program. One is ‘Free Spirit’ member, second is ‘Free Spirit’ Silver member and the third level is ‘Free Spirit’ Gold members.

Free Spirit Members: When your status is Free Spirit Members, you can earn 6 points on every $1 spent and 12 points on every $1 spent on La Smarte options.

Free Spirit Silver Members: As soon as your membership status is changed to ‘Free Spirit Silver’ member, you would be able to earn more points on every USD spent. You will get 8 points on every $1 spent on flights and 16 points on every $1 spent on A La Smarte options.

Free Spirit Gold Members: A free Spirit Gold member can earn 10 points on every $1 spent on flights and 20 points on every $1 spent on A La Smarte options.

When Does Your Free Spirit Status change?

Change in Spirit status depends on the SQPs. SQP stands for ‘Status Qualifying Points’. SQP is different from the regular Free Spirit points. There are two types of points you can earn in the loyalty program of Spirit Airlines. First one is regular Free Spirit points and the second one is Status Qualifying Points.

Regular Free Spirit Points: Regular Free Spirit points can be redeemed in purchasing flight tickets and award tickets.

Status Qualifying Points: When you reach SQPs 2,000 your status is changed from Free Spirit Member to Free Spirit Silver Member and when you reach 5,000 SQPs, you become Free Spirit Gold Member. When you book Spirit Airlines flight tickets, you will earn 1 SQP for every $1 spent on Spirit Airlines flight reservations, seat up-gradation and baggage fees. You can also earn 1 SQP for every $10 spent on your eligible credit card.
